Folklore and traditions of Záhorie region
This site was created by civic association Záhorácky folklór (Folklore of Zahorie) to present rich and unique culture from Záhorie region. It is dedicated to folklore, folk costumes, dances, songs and other traditions of Záhorie, which is situated in far west of Slovakia. Its geographical borders are Lamač (Bratislava), Skalica, Little Carpathians and Morava river. In the past times it was a centre part of Great Moravia and later area of significant historical events. Many of these are written in rich source of historical and balladic folk songs. We bring new photos and informations allmost every day and we will be pleased if you stay our permanent visitor.
